Overview：

The product developed is the Mariners Recruitment Website.This system already has more than one year successful practice all over Europe.

This website enables seafarers to register for a profile that will hold a record of their personal details (in an application) which can then be submitted to the affiliated agency closest to their place of residence. The seafarers can maintain their personal details in their profile on the website until they submit the details for agent review after which they will have a read-only view of the data that they submitted.

Once submitted for review the agency will be able to either accept or reject the seafarer for potential employment. Before accepting or rejecting a seafarer the agency also has the ability to amend the application that is held and also allow the seafarer to re-submit the application.

If the seafarer is accepted, the seafarer’s application records will be transferred into our crewing system (Mariners Crew Management System) from which point the records stored in the Mariners Recruitment Website will be made read-only for any users of the website.

There is also the possibility for the agent to leave messages for the seafarer and vice versa. The messaging system can be used at any point within the process from the point at which the seafarer submits their application until such a time when the account is no longer available.

The website has basic skinning facilities to allow the website to be branded as each of the affiliated agencies. Customizing the skins will entail changing the colour scheme, header, footer and logo.

There is administrator logins to the website which allow for configuration, maintenance and monitoring. The administrators will only have the tasks related to managing the agency related feature. The agents will have the tasks of managing the seafarer related features.
