The successful application of the English Evaluation System in Maritime Safety Administrations all over China

In Sep. 2004, the National Seafarer English Listening and Speaking Evaluation System formally put into practise. It embodys the national level of exams, accords with the STCW pact and the requirements of the exam and evaluation outlines, and is an evaluation system that answers for the English level of Chinese seafarers.

The National Seafarer English Listening and Speaking Evaluation System includes following subsystems:

• Administration subsystem of test questions bank
• Administration subsystem of exam affairs
• Administration subsystem of composing examination paper
• Subsystem of evaluating and implementing on the spot
• Subsystem of judging examination paper
